Yes: Eating stimulates "peristalsis" which means the intestines are moving food along. If you have stool near the end of the intestinal tract, you will have a bowel movement. If you are having more than 2-3 bowel movements per day, diarrhea, pain, or blood in the stool, talk to your doctor about IBD and colitis.

It is normal: It's referred to as the gastrocolic reflex. Stretching the stomach actually leads to increased colonic motility, leading to a bowel movement.
