Yes: inadequate nutrition can affect growth. Zinc is especially needed for hair growth. In adequate dietary zinc could lead to poor hair growth. However, at age 20, you probably have grown as much as you will. Malnutrition of nutrients such as Iron, calcium, zinc, can affect your body's ability to function.
