Not clear on ?: Not clear what the question is, AND any inflammation of the area that can give pain can also cause itching/tickling. THat includes infection, direct trauma, hot pizza, etc.

Seasonal flu: Seasonal flu is very common viral infection with symptoms you have described. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is also recommended every 6 hours. If concerned, see your PCP after 7-8 days or so.

Throat: May be viral, allergic of from acid reflux. If it just started salt gargles three times a day will help but also get a culture to make sure its not bacterial.
