Observation: This is a low grade fever and can be expected after vaccines. If the baby is feeding and acting well, I would recommend observation only. If the baby seems unwell, the child should be seen by his/her doctor.

Recheck temperature: it's important to check the rectal temperature (it's not as bad as you might think, even for the baby). Armpit thermometers are too inaccurate in this case, as what happens next will really depend on the temperature also PLEASE call your doctor if your baby has a fever.

Likely normal: This is likely not even a fever, which is anything above 38 rectal. Do a rectal temp. It's easy and more accurate. Put a little Vaseline on tip of thermometer &insert about 1/2 inch. If over 38, call your doctor. Anything above 38 in babies under 3months should be discussed immediately. At 2months, after shots, probably not dangerous but may need a brief evaluation to be sure.

Fever: Any baby less than 3 months with a fever needs to be assessed in the ER. The most accurate way to measure a temperature is a rectal temperature. The fever may not be related to his/her shots. Have your baby seen now.

Fever: HI I would not consider that to be a fever. Temp > 99.4 under arm and > 100.4 rectal is considered to be a fever. If the baby seems to be uncomfortable then continuing with Tylenol (acetaminophen) 10mg/kg/dose should be adequate, every 4-6 hrs. If the fever noted to be higher, child is very fussy then consider getting seen by a physician.
