A 27-year-old male asked:
hi, i have had a continuous flu for almost a year now and i have tried to get medication but it doesn't seem to go away. what can be the cause?

Not the flu: Influenza infection does not last or intermittently recur for several months. Persistent flu-like symptoms are likely caused by a problems with the immune system (immunodeficiency, rheumatological problem, or types of cancers). A complete physical with testing of your body systems is necessary to determine the cause of these symptoms.

Ask, then move on...: First, ask your Dr why s/he refuses to treat you. Then, if you are unsatisfied with the answer, gather up all your study results and take them to another doctor. There is nothing wrong with a second opinion if ever you are uncomfortable with the treatment or advice you are given.
