Have cystic acne, use the topical creams but don't work. only cortisone injections work but am trying to get pregnant. is it ok, docs answers conflict?

It is not okay.: Steroids during pregnancy and could cause quite a lot more harm than benefit. In general we try and avoid most medications while pregnant. So either work on getting pregnant or work on getting the cystic acne cleared up. I suggest either one but not both together.

It's easy to say "we are unsure, but rather safe than sorry" and MUCH more difficult to say, "In my practice, I have found it safe and I think you will be ok" I recommend creating a powerful GYN relationship that can reassure you through the unknown.
