my wife is 28 weeks pregnant and has. a severe earache and is congcongestion what can she take for the pain in the ear she has outer ear infection ?

Topical meds: If this is an outer ear infection, then Cirodex drops will help. Auralgan is good for pain as long as the eardrum is intact. Tylenol (acetaminophen) 3-4 times a day will not hurt the unborn. Hope she feels better.

Ear: I would see and ENT today or at the least go to the ER or urgent care. Treatment depends on if its a middle ear or outer ear infection and any drug has to be cleared by the OB gyne
