A member asked:

How long after having a laposcopic surgery to repair a varicocele should i have a bowl movement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. James Lin answered

Any time ...: After usual uncomplicated varicocele surgery through either laparoscopy or open procedure should not affect bowel movement although general anesthesia or laparosscopic maneuvers on the bowls may occasionally slow down the bowels for 1-2 days. Yet, such effect may widely vary among men. So, you may have BM anytime... More? Ask your surgeon.
