Possible viral inf: Sounds like what happens when you get a viral infection. So long as no fever or neurological signs of problems, no lessening of mental status or function, etc. then, conservative treatment and steady as she goes.....hydration (water best), you can certainly do an anti-inflammatory such as Motrin or Naprosyn...or if you prefer smething like a couple of ES Tylenol (acetaminophen) per label instructions, REST...
