Of course not: The principal feature of ALS is weakness, not shaking. If you'd developed ALS as a boy, you would have been dead many years ago. If you want to reassure yourself by reviewing the features of ALS, check out http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/amyotrophiclateralsclerosis/ALS.htm.

Tendon reflex: This is common and quite normal. The tendon reflexes on both side of the ankle joint are strong enough to produce clonus.
