Medical Exam: Have you been examined by a physician for your condition? Dysgeusia can be caused by many different factors, including periodontitis, medications, xerostomia, and mineral deficiency, just to name a few. Your post does not give any other info other than your weight loss, and that's why you need to be evaluated. Please call for an appointment.

See PCP & Dentist: Something's wrong, yes? Could be from aging, Meds, GERD, oral infection, many other reasons. See your Primary Care Physician & Dentist to find out what's wrong & how to fix it. Perhaps a Nutritionist can help. You can' this this by yourself.

Dysgeusia: is a change in your sense of taste due to a variety of causes; from anxiety to dental problems and treatments. Dysgeusia is not very common. Severe long-standing dysgeusia can be very significant as it may lead to patient losing interest in food. See your PCP for consultation, tests and referral if needed.
