Rule out any bony: Rule out any unresolved infection. I published some 13 yo ago the biggest issue with dental implants is the presence of unresolved infection in the bone from the previously extracted tooth.

Eval includes: Overall general health, overall oral health, health of bone and gum tissues in implant area and in general, amount and contour of supporting bone, surrounding and opposing occlusion, implant space availability, health of adjacent/opposing teeth, your ability to care for the implant/crown, etc.

Many: Training of the team of doctors - specialists or not. Type and manufacturer of implant. Experience of doctors treating this type of need. Ability to take 3D image in the office as needed. Is there a laboratory onsite. Materials made in what country. Is the team captain the restorative dentist ( always must be).Hope this helps.
