A member asked:

I'm experiencing pain below my right chest. i noticed this pain when i woke up last morning. its 2nd day now, it hurts a lot when i take deep breathe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pinched nerve: Sharp, shooting pains in the chest are often due to pinching of a nerve that runs between two ribs(intercostal nerve). This type of pain is worse with movement and deep breaths. It usually clears after a few days. Pleurisy or lung pains are also like this and if you have cough, fever and chills, see your physician for evaluation.
