What's thee difference between the tdap and dtap?

Antigens: Dtap is for infants up to 7 years- the diphtheria toxoid and pertussis antigens are stronger. Tdap is for children over 10 and adults- the tetanus toxoid is the same, but the pertussis antigen and diphtheria toxoid are lessened to prevent serious reactions while boosting immunity.

Pediatric&Adult: DTaP is Pediatric vaccine and given in 5 doses starting at 2 month age and last dose given 4to 6 years of age TDap is given starting at age 11years on and adults Both DTap and Tdap prevent all three diseases Diptheria/Tetanus and Pertusis
