A member asked:

Does taking low dose aspirin at the same time as coreg (carvedilol) diminish the bp lowering effects of coreg (carvedilol)? good idea, bad idea, neither?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good idea: Aspirin doesn't interfere with the BP lowering effect of Coreg (carvedilol). If you have evidence of arteriosclerosis, low dose aspirin is indicated for secondary prevention. If you don't, aspirin is not indicated (for primary or prophylactic prevention) until age 50 in men, 65 in women.
