A member asked:

My heart beat skips half a beat or a beat every 6-9 beats all the time. is this normal? i'm suspecting it may be a side effect from the birth control.

Likely common: Most likely you have pvcs (premature ventricular complex), a fancy term for a normal variation is heart rhythm where once in a while a beat is irregular. It is very common. Bcp (birth control pills) usually do not cause this directly but can sometimes cause blood clots which can irritate your heart. You should see your doctor to get at least a 12 lead ekg.
