PVC's?: "skipped beats" are most commonly a result of premature atrial (pac's) or ventricular contractions (pvc's). Sleep deprivation, caffeine, peri-menstrual, anxiety, stimulants, and hypertension can lead to pvc's. Hypertension is unusual at 18 years old. Nearly everyone gets pac's and pvc's, whether they are aware or not. Takes >pvcs10, 000/day may cause heart damage. Follow-up nausea/sob with doc.
