Referring to DVT?: Are you referring to a deep vein thrombosis (DVT) blood clot? Many tests, both blood work and imaging, that can be ordered to help determine whether you may have a DVT. In terms of imaging, ultrasound with color Doppler is the preferred study. CT venogram or MRI (with or without contrast) could also be used. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/health-topics/topics/dvt/
