Abdominal pain: Get an evaluation. Simple indigestion should be relieved with over the counter antacids or proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole. Have you vomited or had diarrhea? Do you have a normal bowel movement? Stay on a light diet, avoid alcohol, drink plenty of fluids. Sharp persisting pains can signal an obstruction, hernia or ulcer.
