Can taking estroven make you continue having periods when you are approaching menopause?

Definitely: Hi. Yes, as long as you take estrogen (E) to stimulate the uterine lining and take progesterone (P) cyclically, you will continue to have periods during P withdrawal. By why would you want to? Most women are glad to be done. If you don't cycle the P, and just take it continuously, you won't have periods. E + P therapy is recommended only at the minimum dose necessary for the shortest time necessary

No: The phytoestrogens in estroven aren't high enough to really effect menstruation.
