Depends: Bleeding irregularites are not uncommon in perimenopasue however I would no ignore this. I would recommend following up with a gynecologist further about this. Further evaluation may be needed with pelvic ultrasound and possibly biopsy.

No: any bleeding after menopause (a year without a period) is considered abnormal and needs to be evaluated
