A member asked:

In peri menopause skipped period for two months now got it and its much heavier is that a problem ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Do you have a gyneco: Periods become erratic during perimenopause. Most often they will diminish in amount of blood loss but sometimes periods become excessive. This can lead to weakness due to blood loss if it continues for more than 4-6 month time. Blood loss leads to anemia(low hemoglobin). This can be corrected with iron supplements. Hystrectomy is required if the heavy blood loss continues.
