Possibly ...: Mirtazapine is an anti-depressant, and all medicines of this class can worsen anxiety. The anxiety may be the effect of the medication, or the consequence of a previous medication leaving your system before the Mirtazapine has reached a 'therapeutic level' in your body. With all adverse effects from medication recommend discussion with the prescribing Doctor, or your GP.
