Watch : You may take some pain medication like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin/Advil to help cope with discomfort. Sleeping upright may help with the throbbing in jaw. It will not pop but could spread. Your biggest concern is not allow the swelling to extend under your jaw which could restrict your breathing. Get to ER if you develop breathing problems. Call your dentist for antibiotics.

Warm salt water rins: Actually if it "pops" that means it's draining! That's a good thing since your dentist will incise and drain tommorrow anyway! If it pops, then keep it draining with warm salt water rinses. Until it drains the pressure will cause pain. Alleve or Advil (ibuprofen) will help until you are seen!
