Pediculosis: Chronic recurrent idiopathic urticarial rash, causing pruritus, especially near scalp line, posterior ears, hairlines can be due to hair lice, scabies, which is called pediculosis. Symptomatic treatment with oral prednisone, anti-histamine, topical corticosteroid cream are temporary, with symptoms return until the actual causative factor is identified, and treated.
