For the past few days, my left eye has been twitching. my cheek also twitched today. should i be worried? when should i go to a neurologist?

Go to neurologist: get checked....the two things I would check out is the patency of your facial nerve. Impingemet or entrapment of cranial nerve 7 would cause eyelid t\witching. Also rule out the presence of Lyme disease because this also could cause muscle twitching in stage 2 presentation.
