Nervous Tic: By definition a tic is a repetitive, uncontrollable, purposeless contraction of an individual muscle or group of muscles, usually in the face, arms, legs or shoulders. It could be chronic tic disorders or transient tic. Some tics are the result of brain injury, head trauma, or encephalitis, although most tics are idiopathic (the cause is not known).
