I am 38w6d 1st time pregnant .my cervix is not dilated n soft .when it will b dilated? should i use castor oil for cervix opening?

Not dilated: especially with the first pregnancy you may not dilate until in active labor. There is no reason to rush it.

Doctor supervision: and normal pregnancy can last longer than 40 weeks. Cervical dilation should only be done by a trained medical professional
