Powder ingestion: The biggest risk of baby powder exposure in infants and young children is lung irritation from inhaling it. Small amounts of swallowed baby powder, in light of no symptoms, should be nothing to worry about. Many food additives are more harmful to our health, so start checking labels and stop worrying about the baby powder!

Baby powder is bad: If it is inhaled into the baby's lungs and if inhaled into your lungs can cause lung damage. I recommend not using baby powder at all for this reason. If only in the mouth there is no harm. Do now let your baby breath the baby powder. Hope this is helpful.
