A member asked:

Hi - i'm a 44 year old female, smoker - i keep breaking out in a sweat for no reason - however my body temperature is normal - what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unfortunately: The obvious cause is smoking. The repeated sweating is caused by dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system. This is a nervous system controlled by the lower part of the brain. Smoking causes oxygen deprivation in brain cells, resulting in unwanted activity.
