It could stay: A TIA is still an event that can leave some residual damage and better described as a small stroke since you have continued symptoms. Generally I see the first resolution of symptoms in three weeks, then over the next three months and then less over the first year.

Depends: For anterior circulation TIA's the limit is 24 hours (typically less than 20 minutes). For posterior circulation TIA the limit is 72 hours. If symptoms persist you are dealing with nerve injury, compression, structural lesion (stroke) or focal seizure (Epilepsia partialis Continua) in the parietal lobe.
