Personal preference: A few cite easier hygiene, decreased std's over a lifetime, elimination of foreskin cancer, etc. The main factor seems to be personal preference. Daddy wants his boy to look the same. I see occasional uti's primarily in uncircumcised boys, but that is uncommon. Rates vary throughout the world. More than 2: PlastiBell device is safest & best method in my opinion, glans is protected by a plastic ring & bleeding controlled by a string compressing cut skin & prevents bleeding. Other methods are Gomco or Mogen clamps. Both quite different & preferred by many OB Drs. However risk of post circumcision bleeding greater. Gomco looks like a mini-torture device, Mogen looks like film director's clamp.
