Personal preference: A few cite easier hygiene, decreased std's over a lifetime, elimination of foreskin cancer, etc. The main factor seems to be personal preference. Daddy wants his boy to look the same. I see occasional uti's primarily in uncircumcised boys, but that is uncommon. Rates vary throughout the world. While in the military it was the most requested elective surgery among shipboard sailors.

More than 2: PlastiBell device is safest & best method in my opinion, glans is protected by a plastic ring & bleeding controlled by a string compressing cut skin & prevents bleeding. Other methods are Gomco or Mogen clamps. Both quite different & preferred by many OB Drs. However risk of post circumcision bleeding greater. Gomco looks like a mini-torture device, Mogen looks like film director's clamp.
