Hard to say: If you live in the south, fire ant bites would be high on the list although it is a little bit unusual you did not notice them when it occurred. The other possibility is that it was an exposure to something such as poison Ivey. Either way, if it does not get better a topical steroid cream is often first line of treatment.

Chigger treatment.: This sounds so familiar. This used to happen to us when we lived in Virginia. Most likely you have been attacked by "chiggers". The easy way to treat them and get fast relief is with nail polish. The clear stuff is less obvious. Simply apply a small dab to each bite and smile.
