What's the diagnosis: There are a variety of conditions for which prednisone could be used when people's vision are severely affected. Depends on what your diagnosis is....if you have optic neuritis from MS then, useful vision may take weeks to come back...baseline may not come back for up to 2 years. Other conditions such as vasculitis have variable outcomes usually weeks to months as well.
