Can a few days of 10 mg prednisone affect your menstrual cycle (period)? can it make your period last longer? im hoping my period doesnt get heavier or lasts longer due to this few days prescription of steroids?

Unlikely: The dose of prednisone you mentioned should not alter your menstrual cycle. Your doctor can prescribe you pills that can limit your period to once in three months to once a year. Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.
