No worries: I doubt you have to worry.The harmful strain of E. Coli is serotype O157:H7. Unless your jackets have been stored for 9 months in a moist environment in contact with soil or organic material, any E. Coli would not likely survive. It is spread on contaminated food and water, and contact with contaminated fecal matter; and it is prevented by proper food preparation and good hygiene. Hope that helps.
