A member asked:

I had s1q3t3 ecg pattern. normal d dimer. slightly low lung function test. should i still be worried about pe? docs weren't worried.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: A negative d-dimer effectively rules out an embolism. The ECG pattern you describe infrequently correlates with a pulmonary embolism. Lung function and/or pulmonary function testing do not test for embolism, only ventilation.
