A member asked:

After braces, why does it still look like my daughter has an overjet when she talks, but when she bites it is only a 2 mm overjet? can that be fixed?

Ortho results: You spent substantial money and time for Orthodontic treatment. Your question should be directed to the Orthodontist who actually treated your daughter. If you are not satisfied with the results or the explanation given to you be the treating doctor, you can always see another Orthodontist for a second opinion.

Habit: Without realizing it your daughter may be positioning her lower jaw forward when she closes her teeth together. She needs to be reevaluated. Please make an appointment for a reevaluation with the Orthodontic Specialist that treated her. A second opinion with another qualified Orthodontic Specialist may be in order.
