Baby: Hi, if you have the heart to do so be my guest, but when a baby cries there is usually something wrong, either the baby is hungry, or wet, or has an abdominal colic, maybe rocking the baby on ur lap, putting the baby on top of a working washing machine could help.

Maybe.: Apparently it is normal for babies to cry for 5 hours a day without cause. We are not worried about spoiling ours and hold them, carry them around, feed them, give them their binky and hold them. If they are crying hysterically or longer than ten minutes, comfort them. It is not harmful for them to cry. Of course there are babies that have other medical issues that can cause crying.
