Fetzima: is a balanced SNRI antidepressant. It may have more potent noradrenergic action than serotoneric action. It was studied in 3 separate 8 week trials before receiving recent FDA approval last summer. Its more likely to cause elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure and sweating (loss of fluids) compared with SSRI's or other SNRI's. Care should be taken in combining this with Loratadine.
