Probably not: if your symptoms are truly caused by acid reflux. Measures that would reduce acid exposure to your throat would be better, such as medicine to reduce acid secretion, alkali to neutralize acid, or mechanical maneuvers such as head elevation during sleep. Ask your doctor for specific advice.
