Trigeminal area?: Is this sensation constant, or on and off? How long has it been going on? Sometimes irritation to the trigeminal nerve, which supplies sensation to this area, can cause a symptom like this, on one side. That could be why there is no change in the skin. If the symptoms have been happening a short time, a rash may still appear however.
