ER/Ophtho: Could be Herpes Opthalmicus which is treatable and can completely resolve without permanent problems if treated early. Best to be seen by Ophtho who can prescribe coticosteroid drops, if needed. You may be put on an antiviral as well as costicosteroids by mouth. Are there any blisters or lesions on your face? Redness in the eye? It does sound like a Vth cranial nerve distribution.
