Are there any rheumatic diseases that might cause splinter hemorrhages of the finger nails?

Rheumatic heart dis: Rheumatic diseases themselves are not associated with splinter hemorrhage of the nails, but any rheumatic disease such as rheumatic fever that damages the heart valves can lead to bacterial endocarditis which does. The other major cause is injury.
