Splinter hemorrhages can happen from traumatizing the fingernail. Do you have something that you believe is splinter hemorrhage? If you bite or pick fingernails, it is important to stop this habit. It is very hard on your fingertips AND teeth. Especially now that we are still very concerned about Covid-19 infection, avoid placing hands/fingers on any part of the face, including the mouth.
