Hello im asking for my son hes 14 years old, last month he got splinter hemorrhages in hes fingernails and a very light brown line in hes thump could the cause be vitamin or nutrient deficiency. he also got dents in hes nail and ridges?

First I recommend having a dermatologist examine his fingernails to determine whether these fingernail findings are abnormal ( vertical ridges are not) & attributable to any systematic disease or deficiencies.. Splinter hemorrhages are often caused by trauma but infection on a a heart valve is a possible cause. The dermatologist will order any appropriate tests after the assessment.
