Mom coughing 2.5wks, chest x ray is ok. pulmo doc says she's ok, but still coughing little by day a great lot 1/2 hour on evenings. why? not a smoker

Second opinion: Persistent cough with a normal Chest X ray may need to be evaluated with a better test such as a CT scan. I would speak to the lung doctor to review all your information and see what is appropriate. Good luck
