No more than 3000 mg: Do not take more than 3000 mg a day of acetaminophen. Symptoms of toxicity are stomach upset, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Unfortunately tylenol toxicity doesn't have any symptoms until damage is being done to your liver, so it is best to be careful with it up front.
