Post ovulation bleed: Right before ovulation there is a drop in estrogen levels as the ovulation triggering rise in LH. This drop in estrogen can be enough to cause spotting and occasionally a period. If a saline sonogram to evaluate the uterine cavity is normal, it is not likely a problem.
