Labs are different: So you have to consider the result in relation to your lab. But if this lab result was coming from my hospital lab, I wouldn't be too concerned. My reference lab has rbc of 4.1 and hgb of 12 as the lower limit of normal for men. What matters is what does this lab result mean along with his symptoms, history and physical? The doctor who ordered the test can answer that for you.
